The Growing Place is committed to the development of educators. We offer several opportunities to visit, observe, reflect and interact with materials.

Educator Tours
The day begins at our Ocean Park campus and includes an introduction to our program, time to observe in the classrooms and Q&A. Participants enjoy lunch off-site. In the afternoon, participants meet at our Marine Park campus for a meeting with teachers and participate in the process we use to analyze video. The classrooms at Marine Park are available for observation in the afternoon. Educator Tours are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The cost for an Educator Tour is $65 per person.

Workshops
On selected Saturday mornings from 9:00-12:00, participants are invited to engage in a workshop held at The Growing Place Marine Park. Our workshops are designed to create an exchange between colleagues and develop an understanding of the featured topics (please see each link for workshop descriptions).
The cost for a Workshops is $50 per person.

Private Tours
When we share our program with others, we want to ensure that our guests are provided with a clear vision of our approach. This takes time and availability of our staff to truly relay the details of our program and answer questions. We can arrange private tours only for a minimum group of fifteen individuals. Our teachers and directors are also willing to consult with programs. Please complete the Request for a Private Tour form and submit it to opinfo@growingplace.com, or fax it to 310-399-6560.
Discounts
ECE students receive a discount of $25 towards any Educator Tour or Workshop. A copy of your student ID or syllabus is required to receive discount.
Groups of 8 or more receive 20% off the group cost for Tours or Workshops provided by The Growing Place. (Private tours of 15 or more do not apply).
