Children are admitted using a priority system because the City of Santa Monica generously funds part of the program to provide infant care and services to low income Santa Monica residents. Children of City of Santa Monica government employees receive first priority, followed by city of Santa Monica residents (including low income). Residency is confirmed annually by the receipt of original utility statement, lease or deed, and current California identification.

The Growing Place is not able to provide part time or wrap around care.

Families are admitted from a waiting pool taking into consideration age and gender, and reflecting diversity though economic, ethnicity and family structures.

Partial tuition assistance may be available to families who qualify. A separate application is available to be submitted with a current income tax filing at the time of application. Space permitting, we accept children receiving assistance from Connections for Children.

The Marine Park site has three classrooms:

The Willow Room, children 3 months to 24 months, 1:3 ratio, $1625 monthly tuition

The Magnolia Room, children 2 years to +3 years, 1:6 ratio, $1370 monthly tuition

The Palm Room, children +3 to 5 years, 1:9 ratio, $1225 monthly tuition

Children that are age eligible for Kindergarten (turn 5 years before December 3rd), graduate from our program.

There is a non-refundable $75 registration fee (waived for families applying for tuition assistance). A non-refundable $1000 enrollment fee per child due upon enrollment. An annual materials and snack fee is $300. There is a kindergarten summer camp fee of $150 to support the costs of fieldtrips and staffing.
Rates are subject to change.
