The main purpose of our Tuition Assistance Program is to encourage economic and ethnic diversity within the school population, and to help children remain at The Growing Place when their families experience temporary financial crises.
The amount of assistance available is subject to the availability of funds. The Tuition Assistance Committee reviews all applications. This committee does not include current parents or teaching staff of The Growing Place. Financial information provided is kept strictly confidential.
There are three kinds of aid available to families at The Growing Place:
2. Tuition Reduction. Families may be granted tuition reduction on an ongoing basis. A number of factors are considered in granting assistance, including full-time working status, financial need and parent involvement at The Growing Place. Our Marine Park campus has additional factors, as the funds are generously provided through a grant from the City of Santa Monica. Please refer to the Marine Park enrollment section for more information.
3. Targeted Assistance. Various government and philanthropic organizations may grant funding for children to attend The Growing Place. Please contact Connections for Children for applications and information.
Applications for tuition assistance can be downloaded here (please be sure to download the program information as well for a checklist of documents to include):
The Tuition Assistance Committee may request additional information when necessary to fairly and thoroughly evaluate the application.
